Description
project
The new Nurly Zhol railway station is one of the largest transport hubs in Kazakhstan, with a capacity of over 35,000 passengers per day. Four high-capacity Fujitec Rexia passenger elevators were installed for transporting passengers with luggage.
The project included integration with the building management system (BMS) and equipment for passengers with reduced mobility. A long-term service contract was additionally signed.
Technical challenges
High passenger flow with luggage required larger cabins and increased duty-cycle intensity. Installation proceeded without halting construction of the main building.
Outcome
The elevators operate around the clock with a 99.7% availability rate in the first year of operation.
